This isn’t the post I thought I would be putting up this week. But I’m seeing such a huge difference after just the first few days of my heavy metal detox. I felt the need to write this first.
I’ll put a more detailed day-by-day summary after this article for those who are curious. But my biggest takeaway from this week has been that I’ve been poisoned. And not even all at once. It’s been happening slowly throughout my life. Poisoning by degrees.
However, there was a clear “poisoning event” that impacted my health in just a few years ago. I didn’t even recognize it until now. After all, I supposedly have a degenerative genetic disease. Everyone has been telling me I’m getting worse. Lately it has been getting harder and harder to hang onto the belief that I can get better and I’m going to pull through this. But now my perspective has changed.
The event I can trace all this back to is the pandemic. Specifically, the COVID-19 vaccine.
I got my second shot in May of 2021.
In September 2021, I missed a step going down the stairs. It was weird because I hadn’t really had a problem with stairs until then. But I had begun to notice a disconnect from my feet. I’d do energy work and get more feeling back and then I didn’t think it was a big deal because I was still pretty functional.
But then I missed that step, about 6 steps above the tile landing. I blacked out before I hit the ground, but I split my left forehead open on either the tile or the sideboard and ended up with a concussion.
After that, I had symptoms of brain fog that never fully went away. I couldn’t finish any book, not even the beloved young adult fiction stories I had enjoyed since I was a preteen.
In July 2022 my left arm froze up so that it was just too difficult to play piano anymore. Call it a coincidence, but my left arm is the one that took both Pfizer shots.
I fell a few other times, including once outside of work in March of 2023. After that, I couldn’t drive anymore.
It feels like I have slowly been turning to stone. I can barely feel my feet. My blood circulation is so poor that I often wear a lap blanket even during the summer when it’s 78° indoors. Sometimes socks, too. Thus, me enjoying upwards of 20 minutes outside in 113° heat after work.
Just the last month or so—as I was getting sensation in new areas of my back, it was accompanied by this burning, itching, prickling sensation that creeps into each new area. It was more than just fresh blood flow. It was chronic inflammation, accompanied by systemic stress.
I just didn’t notice because it came on by degrees.
Then, the very first morning after the detox, the burning, itching, prickling was gone. It had migrated down to settle in just my lower back.
My brain fog was also severely reduced. I continued to feel more and more clarity over the next few days.
I feel positive again—like my old self. Like I remember feeling before my first fall. Before I got the vaccine. I feel like the scarecrow who went to the wizard and couldn’t help dancing because he finally had a brain!

I started putting the pieces of this puzzle together as I was researching for the post I meant to send out today. I’m getting physical confirmation from my body that this is no coincidence. The COVID vaccine was bad. And not just for me.
Maybe you haven’t noticed a difference since then. Or maybe you have. I’m curious whether others—if they were to try this same detox experiment—would find a return of health and clarity that they didn’t realize had been retreating from them since 2020 or 2021.
I want to say that I don't believe medical professionals are intentionally poisoning people. They’ve been educated that metals like the aluminum salts in many vaccines are “adjuvants” and the dose is too small to have any major impact. It’s supposedly meant to prime your immune system. And most medical professionals are probably not aware that there is metal in the COVID vaccines (not just Pfizer). It’s not on the list of disclosed ingredients.
Before you think I’m jumping to conclusions, I hope you’ll read the extra post I’m putting out this weekend that I meant to put out today.
It’s not just in the vaccines we get at childhood. It’s in polluted air and water and food and other products. It’s dental anesthetics. It could be in other medications, too.
But right now, I’m just grateful to have solved this mystery for myself! I have a strong feeling that slow metal poisoning is at least a major reason (if not the major reason) my muscles have been slowly freezing up. Possibly, genetics have nothing to do with it (I’m hoping to do some focused studies on genetics after I’m satiated on my current research topic). If it wasn’t for the pandemic and the COVID vaccine I probably would have gone my whole life without noticing. So thanks, but no thanks—I guess?
Ability hasn’t returned quite as quickly as mood and clarity, but then again I believe the metals have worked their way from my bloodstream into my tissue. It may take some time to draw them back out. I hope they’ll come out. I’m willing to be patient.
Thank you for reading this far. Take care and have a good week!
With love,
Ordinary Girl
Week One of Detox
The amounts I'm using are adapted from the recommendations of Dr. Ana Mihalcea, who is certified in chelation therapy. I'll be mentioning her in my post this weekend. She does IV treatments for her clients, but she advised that it can be done orally as well.
These were the amounts she gave:
Night: 500mg EDTA & Up to 10000mg Vitamin C
Morning: Full spectrum mineral supplement
I'm a sensitive person when it comes to supplements, so I felt 10000mg of Vitamin C was a bit much. I couldn't easily find a dosage above 2000mg to buy online anyway
Here are the supplements I ended up ordering. When you're taking these orally you need to make sure it will survive your stomach acid and get into your blood stream, so I did liposomal Vit C. The EDTA brand was recommended by Dr. Mihalcea.
Day 1
Daytime symptoms: Severe inflammation throughout my back (burning, prickling, itching), heart skipping, fatigue. Severe brain fog.
Took 450mg of EDTA & 8000mg of Vitamin C (liposomal) around 8:15 pm.
Immediate reaction: Flushing & twitching muscles in left knee, lower abdomen, & left ear. Mild discomfort. Sleepy. No stomach trouble (I was worried about the high dose of Vit C). Overheated once overnight.
Next morning: No inflammation (burning, prickling, itching) in upper back. Moderate inflammation in sacrum area (new symptom). Two breakouts on my face. Brain fog severely reduced. More mental energy.
Took a half dose of full spectrum mineral supplement along with my normal multi-vitamin.
Day 2
Moderate sleepiness during the day. Napped. Much less pain than the day before. Some physical fatigue.
Took 450mg of EDTA & 6000mg of Vitamin C after 9:00 pm.
Much less flushing. Got very hungry, but was able to fast overnight. Once I laid down to sleep, my fascia shifted a lot in my legs and hips, letting go of tension. Slept well, no overheating.
Next morning: Only slight prickling in sacrum area. More mental energy. Pain levels down.
Took a half dose of full spectrum mineral supplement along with my normal multi-vitamin.
Day 3
Moderate sleepiness during the day. Napped. Pain levels still down. Moderate fatigue. No heart skipping.
Took 450mg EDTA & 4000mg Vitamin C around 8:30 pm. When measuring out dosage it just felt like my body wanted less.
Slept well. No flushing. No overheating.
Next morning: Pain levels still down. Felt mental energy, good mood. Positive energy.
Took a half dose of full spectrum mineral supplement along with my normal multi-vitamin.
Day 4
Got out of the house & socialized (which I haven't had the energy for lately). Mental energy continued. Systemic fatigue during the day, but no muscle fatigue. Napped. The burning, prickling pain still has not returned. Just experiencing general stiffness in my joints, which is normal but more noticeable with the pain down.
Took 450mg EDTA & 8000mg Vitamin C around 8:15 pm. Was going to do 225mg EDTA & 4000mg Vit C, but I received the intuition to go back to the original full dose.
Immediate reaction: No strong reaction like on day 1. Slight hunger. Blood flow seemed to concentrate on my right hip.
Next morning: Prickling, itching, burning around sacrum, lumbar region, right adductor, right glute, & right hip. Stiffness in these areas.
Took a half dose of full spectrum mineral supplement along with my normal multi-vitamin.
Day 5
I feel less impulsive. Self control returning. Put aside my cell phone a few times just to enjoy the mental break of being present. Napped—still experiencing systemic fatigue. After nap, did minute movements in my right hip to try to relieve the stiffness.
Took 450mg EDTA & 6000mg Vitamin C around 8:30 pm. Since I'm working a full day tomorrow, it felt wise to take a smaller dose of Vitamin C to hopefully lessen the fatigue.
Immediate reaction: Nothing noticeable. Just normal sleepiness.
Next morning: Left SCMs (front neck muscles) slightly sore & relaxed. Mental clarity good.
Took a half dose of full spectrum mineral supplement along with my normal multi-vitamin.
Day 6
Felt more positive overall throughout the day (even for a Monday after a long weekend!). I missed this in my prior notes, but I’ve been extra thirsty this week.
Took 450mg EDTA & 6000mg Vitamin C around 9:00 pm.
Immediate reaction: Hungry. Heavy flushing in my mid back. Tiny prickles in the area between my shoulder blades.
Next morning: Soreness in occipital area (back of head).
Took a half dose of full spectrum mineral supplement along with my normal multi-vitamin.
Daytime: My fascia shifted a lot in my right shoulder. Fatigue and inflammation in my mid back. Walking and standing felt different. Feels like my fascia is letting go and letting my muscles take over.
The plan is to detox in a ratio of 3:1. Three weeks of detox, one week of rest. I'll play it by ear, though.
Lots of physical and mental changes this week. I'm hoping it will continue & that I can keep up with it!
